Education Hour

Throughout the year, we offer Adult Education Hour and Sunday School classes for children and youth from preschool through teens.

Our Adult Education Hour is a lively time of study and conversation. Usually the format involves reading a short passage of a book or a piece of the Bible and then talking about it. Recent topics have included the Quaker prayer life, Howard Thurman’s writings on race and justice and God’s invitation to a new life in the midst of troubles. Visitors are welcome!

Our Sunday School classes are beloved of children and their parents alike! Our younger children gather to sing, share a Bible story, and create an art response. Older children engage in topics such as meeting Jesus in the gospel of Luke, becoming disciples and our Quaker heritage. All Sunday School classes are activity based and include visual arts, singing, and/or storytelling.
