God has freed us from darkness. Our lives are illuminated by God’s light. Our lives bear the fruit of our hope in Christ. We belong to the kingdom of God.

Tomorrow, July 21, we will be having our Monthly Business Meeting preceded by a Potluck Lunch. A $3.00 contribution is requested if you have not brought a dish.  First-time guests do not need to pay.

Sunday, July 28, Peace, Environment & Christian Social concerns will meet at 1:00 PM.

We have collected $110.85 for the summer project Ramallah School.

Free Ben Lomond Quaker Center workshops are available through the church’s membership subscription.  A complete list for the year is on the table in the back. Family Work Camp from July 29 to August 3 is a camp for all ages! Build community while constructing, repairing, prepping, painting, cooking, cleaning. Deepen community by worshipping, playing, hiking, singing, chatting. If interested in this or any other workshop on the list, please let John Maurer or Faith Kelley know ASAP.

All students, teachers and school staff are invited to our Blessings of the Backpacks during the Sunday service on August 11. Bring whatever bag you take to school with you as we pray for you and the new school year. To pass the blessing on to others, starting 7/21 through 8/4 the church will be collecting school supplies for students at Lincoln Elementary in Oakland.  Please bring and place in the box in the entryway new items for those who would struggle to purchase their own.
Consider buying a new backpack the same as you’d buy for your Student and including it in these four categories of items as top priorities: 1. Pencils, erasers and sharpener. 2. A box of colored pencils and a box of crayons. 3. A small ruler. 4. Three 2-pocket folders.
Lincoln’s new principal Ms. Mukta Sambrani very much appreciates our assistance!
