The mighty One summons us from sunrise to sunset. Out of perfect beauty, God shines forth. God calls to heaven and earth, “Gather to me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with me.” The heavens declare the righteousness of God, the judge of people and nations. Let us not forget God, but with thanksgiving as our sacrifice, let us be a people of justice.
Free Ben Lomond Quaker Center workshops are available through the church’s membership subscription. A complete list for the year is on the table in the back and can be found online. The next workshop is Clerking with Joy and Enthusiasm taught by Barbara Babin and Jamie Newton from August 30-September 1. Alternatives to Violence (AVP)’s Conflict Resolution Workshop will take place at the church building on Saturday October 12, 19, and 26 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Come to this three part series to learn how to deal with interpersonal conflict in healthy, straightforward, and productive ways. Suggested donation of $35 to $100. Breakfast and lunch provided.
