We gather to greet the new day by praising God. God created us for relationship with God, one another, and the earth. We seek to care for our brothers and sisters around the world and to God’s good Creation. May we commit to new ways of honoring God’s Creation as a means of sharing Jesus’ transforming love.

Monthly Business Meeting and Potluck Luncheon is next Sun, Sept. 15. Please bring a dish or be prepared to contribute $3 for supplies.

Choir will be next Sun, at 9:00 am.

Free Ben Lomond Quaker Center workshops are available through the church’s membership subscription. A complete list for the year is on the table in the back and can be found online. The next workshop is Clerking with Joy and Enthusiasm taught by Barbara Babin and Jamie Newton from August 30-September 1. If interested in this or any other workshop on the list, please let John Maurer or Faith Kelley know ASAP.

Berkeley Friends Church will be at the 45th annual Solano Avenue Stroll on Sunday, Sept 8, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our booth will be between Santa Fe Ave and Curtis, and will showcase the Berkeley Food Pantry. We are looking for volunteers to help at the booth. Please sign up! There will be a sign up sheet at the rise of meeting.

On Sun, Oct 6, from 12:30 to 3PM, a community outdoor BBQ will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Berkeley Food Pantry.  Grilled meats, vegetarian options and sides will be provided.  Come enjoy the food and each other’s company on the playground at the church.  Please RSVP by September 22.

Alternatives to Violence (AVP)’s Conflict Resolution Workshop will take place at the church building on Saturday October 12, 19, and 26 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Come to this three part series to learn how to deal with interpersonal conflict in healthy, straightforward, and productive ways. Suggested donation of $35 to $100. Breakfast and lunch provided.
